Perhaps the most exciting development of my winter hibernation is that I have decided to launch a new company this summer with a fellow first year MBA student (very temporary logo above!). While we’re not quite ready to publicly reveal the details of what we are up to, it is an idea that combines my personal interests in technology, media, and new advertising models. I also feel incredibly lucky to be working with a super business partner who himself has been in the trenches of the startup world, shares a dedication and passion for creating new businesses, and is an all-around great character to be embarking on this adventure with.
We’ve both abandoned any pretense of gainful employment this summer, are in the midst of product planning, and are going to give this as a good a run as we can.
Most importantly at the moment, we’re looking for someone crazy enough to join us. In particular, we’re looking for a rockstar developer willing to come aboard as a partner for at least the summer. I’ve posted a full job description here (please pass the word along) and would love to hear from anyone who might be interested. While we think at this point it is probably a role that will appeal to a student looking for a summer gig, we’re open to anything. Feel free to write me personally at neichin@gmail.com for more info…
Happy to talk more about our idea offline and look forward to posting much more here as things progress!
